But that’s football. We have to take the highs and the lows. We’ll dust ourselves off and go again next season. The players have been outstanding and I couldn’t be prouder of them. We’ll regroup, come back stronger, and hopefully go one step further next time. It’s tough to take, but that’s the nature of the game we love.
But once I got my first touch, I felt settled. I knew I was going to score, and that’s what happened. It’s just a great feeling to be able to help the team in that way.
Overall, it was a great team effort, and I’m just happy we were able to come out on top in the end. It’s a great feeling to be able to contribute to such an important win for the club.
