It was such a different process, but it was really fun, and I think it brought us closer as a group. It was definitely more collaborative than ever before, and I think that’s really shown in the final product.
How do you hope listeners engage with TIDE/TIED?
It’s funny – I wrote most of these songs before the pandemic, but I think they’ve taken on a different meaning now. I hope that listeners can find solace in the music, in the way that I have. I hope that it can be a source of healing for them, a way to process their emotions and navigate through uncertainty. I hope that it can bring them some peace, even if just for a moment. Ultimately, I hope that they can connect with the music in a meaningful way, and that it can be a part of their journey towards healing and growth.
What’s next for you and the band?
We’re really excited to finally be able to play shows again and connect with our fans in person. We have some tour dates coming up, and we can’t wait to share these songs live. We’re also already starting to think about new music and where we want to go next creatively. We’re always evolving and growing as artists, and we’re excited to see where this journey takes us next.
Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us, Thanya. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and your music.
It’s really comforting to think about that connection. So the title has definitely grown in meaning for me over time. It feels like a perfect encapsulation of the album’s themes and the journey we all go through in life.” “Incluso con personas que no conocemos, todas esas historias también están interconectadas.
