Van Gerwen took his chances and he had to because Luke was playing well. But you can’t have that many darts at double and miss as many as Littler did. He wasn’t as focused as he should have been.
Littler will be disappointed but he’s got to learn from it. He’s got to realise that when you get chances against the top players, you have to take them. He’s got to be more focused and more determined. Van Gerwen wasn’t at his best but he was more focused and got the job done.
Overall, it was a good performance from Littler but he needs to work on his focus and concentration if he wants to compete at the highest level.
