Murcia líder de destinos turísticos en España « Euro Weekly News

En mayo, Murcia se convirtió en la comunidad española con el mayor crecimiento en llegadas y gasto de turistas internacionales.

Números Récord de Turistas en Mayo

Según la encuesta Frontur del Instituto Nacional de Estadística, el número de turistas internacionales en la Región de Murcia aumentó un 50 por ciento interanual, alcanzando 103,764 visitantes. Gastaron un total de €154.2 millones, lo que marca un increíble aumento del 102 por ciento en comparación con mayo de 2023, superando con creces el crecimiento promedio nacional del 19.7 por ciento, según la encuesta Egatur.

Número de Turistas de la Región Supera el Crecimiento Nacional

De estos turistas, 38,018 (36.6 por ciento) se alojaron en alojamientos regulados, un aumento del 5.6 por ciento desde mayo de 2023. Además, la Región lideró con la estancia promedio más larga para turistas internacionales, con 13.72 días, más del doble del promedio nacional de 6.18 días. El gasto per cápita durante su estancia totalizó €1,486.29, un aumento del 34.8 por ciento con respecto al año anterior (un aumento del 7.3 por ciento a nivel nacional).

Visitantes Internacionales Acuden a la Región

De enero a mayo, la Región recibió 382,781 turistas extranjeros, un aumento del 20.4 por ciento desde 2023, marcando la segunda cifra más alta en registros históricos y convirtiéndola en la tercera región de más rápido crecimiento en turismo extranjero. Durante este período, los turistas gastaron €521.7 millones, un aumento del 45 por ciento desde 2023, posicionando a la Región como el tercer mayor contribuyente al impacto económico, solo por detrás de Cantabria y Castilla-La Mancha.

Los principales países de origen de los visitantes fueron el Reino Unido, Francia, Bélgica y los países nórdicos, contribuyendo significativamente al crecimiento turístico de la Región en 2024.
